Benefits of taking on some risk

There was only one thing I wanted to do when I turned 18 years old, that was skydive. On the 40-minute flight up to 14,000 feet I had plenty of time to reflect on the risk but had to remove it from thought. When the door was opened, and my toes were over the ledge of the airplane I was surprised. It did not feel like I was 14,000 feet above the ground and the nervousness I had felt on the ride up dissipated. I hardly remember the ride down but do remember the realization that getting outside of your comfort zone allows you to grow as a person.
