Jeffrey G. Wilkins has been promoted to the position of Director, Portfolio Management and Alternative Investments, at Columbus-based investment management and financial advisory firm Hamilton Capital Management, Inc.

A member of the firm’s investment management team, Wilkins will now be responsible for assessing and executing opportunities across alternative asset classes in addition to investment research and strategy development.

“Jeff is an astute market analyst with keen insights on alternative investments,” said Hamilton Capital Chairman & CEO Matt Hamilton, “and we are looking forward to his leadership in this area.”

With more than 12 years of active investment and business leadership experience, Wilkins has led the investment and management of real estate and private-equity transactions, from distressed real estate acquisitions and ground-up real estate development to start-up companies and turn-around situations.

He previously co-founded and served as chief operating officer for Mobius Microsystems, a producer of semiconductors, and served as a portfolio manager in the Corporate Banking Division for a regional commercial bank.

An Upper Arlington resident and a former board member and membership chair of the Columbus chapter of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization, Wilkins holds an MBA with distinction from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from the University of Arizona.
