Srinath Sampath, CFA®, ASA, Ph.D., has joined Columbus-based investment management and financial advisory firm Hamilton Capital Management, Inc. as director, portfolio management.

As director, Sampath will be responsible for developing, managing and enhancing the firm’s investment strategies, research and communications.

A former portfolio manager, trader and analyst with Nationwide Investments, he most recently served as graduate research associate at the Nationwide Center for Advanced Customer Insights at The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business while pursuing his doctorate. He also has served as an actuarial analyst in Pension Product Management for Nationwide Financial.

A Chartered Financial Analyst and an Associate, Society of Actuaries, Sampath holds Ph.D. and master’s degrees in statistics from The Ohio State University, a bachelor’s degree in statistics from Loyola College in Chennai, India, and an advanced diploma in systems management from NIIT, also in Chennai, India.

A native of Chennai, India, Sampath is an award-winning researcher and a frequent speaker on a variety of statistical topics.

A former president and board member of Actors’ Theatre of Columbus and a former board member and treasurer of the Columbus International Program, he resides in Dublin.
