Edwin P. (Win) McCausland, CFA®, has joined Hamilton Capital Management as Senior Vice President, Investments.

In addition to his duties as a senior member of the firm’s investment management team, McCausland will be responsible for leading strategic initiatives that leverage the firm’s investment research and management strengths.

McCausland joins Hamilton Capital from Investment Perspectives, LLC, an international management consulting practice where he served as President. He is a former Chief Investment Officer for Nationwide Insurance, where he earlier served as Senior Vice President, Fixed Income, and was responsible for $55 billion in general account, pension and mutual fund assets. He has more than 40 years of investment management experience.

McCausland is the second former Nationwide CIO to join Hamilton Capital in the past year, joining Chief Investment Officer Antonio (Tony) Caxide, who was previously CIO at Nationwide Financial Services.

“We are pleased to have someone of Win’s insight and experience join our team,” said Hamilton Capital Chairman & CEO Matt Hamilton. “Adding his knowledge and expertise to our already excellent investment management team should prove very beneficial, and we’re looking forward to his leadership as we pursue new ways to leverage our investment research and management capabilities.”

“Hamilton Capital has a well-earned, national reputation,” McCausland said. “It’s a true pleasure to be joining a team of this caliber and helping our valued clients achieve their financial goals. I’m also looking forward to exploring the many opportunities we have to leverage our core investment competencies.”

A Chartered Financial Analyst, McCausland holds a Master of Business Administration degree in finance from the University of Hartford and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Wheaton College (Illinois).

McCausland, who resides in New Albany, Ohio, has served on the Workers Compensation Oversight Commission Audit and Investment Committees for the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation, and is former vice-chairman of The Ohio State University Business Technology Center.
